It was a huge relief yesterday evening, when Louisville basketball was announced as being the seven seed in the East Region of the 2019 NCAA Tournament, even if the matchup was one that probably was planned a bit by the NCAA.
The fact that this Louisville team, coached by Chris Mack in his first season at Louisville which had just seven scholarship players when he took over and had lost four of the top five scorers from a 20 win season that failed to make the NCAA Tournament, was headed to the Big Dance. This was a team projected to finish 11th in the ACC and never really was given a shot to make any type of run.
