The Cardiac Cards baseball team has done it again.
Louisville’s Zach Britton hit a bases loaded walk-off single to win game 1, 5-4, against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Cards (38-16, 16-12 in ACC play) have come on strong of late, winning 5 out of their last six, after an unusually slow start to the season.
Louisville led for most of the game, taking a 3-1 lead into the 4th inning, and then extending the lead to 4-1 in the 6th on a Logan Wyatt single. However, UofL surrendered 3 runs in a shaky 8th inning, including a wild pitch to plate the tying run.
