The No. 7 Louisville baseball team notched its biggest series win of the 2016 season to date by taking the final two games of a three-game set with defending national champion Virginia at Jim Patterson Stadium over the weekend.
In the deciding game of the series on Sunday, the Cards produced their highest-scoring performance in a conference game since they beat Rutgers 24-6 in 2010. First baseman Danny Rosenbaum led five Cardinals with two or more hits on Sunday finishing 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Junior outfielder Corey Ray was 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base, while freshman second baseman Devin Mann, in his third start of the season, finished 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and scored twice.
