The recent good vibes surrounding the Louisville baseball team came to a brief halt this weekend with the Cards dropping games to Virginia on Saturday and Sunday that allowed the Cavaliers to head back to Charlottesville with a 2-1 series win.
The series triumph was the Cavaliers’ first over Dan McDonnell’s program since Louisville joined the ACC.
U of L appeared to have Sunday’s rubber match in hand heading into the final frame. Cardinal starter Bobby Miller had allowed just three Virginia hits and no runs, and needed only three more to secure a 1-0 Louisville victory.
