On Saturday evening, the Louisville baseball team showed the damage that it can do against the Oklahoma Sooners to the tune of an 11-1 victory in front of a home crowd in Jim Patterson Stadium.
At first, it was a bit of a slow-go on the night for both sides. The Sooners struck first with their lone run of the game in the bottom of the fifth, but the Cardinals immediately answered in the top of the sixth. Then, the flood gates opened. After a scoreless seventh inning, Louisville peppered Oklahoma with seven runs in a 49-minute eighth inning.
