Damian Copeland gave the Louisville football program, and it’s fans, an amazing opportunity to watch one of the most exciting players walk through Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium. According to Copeland’s personal twitter account, he has decided to hang up the cleats and retire from professional football.
As an un-drafted NFL free agent, Copeland was signed to the rosters of Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions over the last few seasons. He never had the chance to make a career in the NFL, but his career at Louisville was one that Louisville fans will not soon forget.
Copeland always had the ability to make a big catch, at big times, in big games for the Cardinals.
