The 11th-ranked Louisville lacrosse team defeated 10th-ranked Northwestern 10-4 on Thursday. The win is one of the biggest in school history and the first ever win over the seven-time national champions. The Cardinals dominated the match and trailed for under seven minutes.
The Cardinals’ attack was led by Julia Wood, Cortnee Daley, Kaylin Morisettee and Kelli Gerding. Wood and Daley both had hat-tricks, and Morisettee scored twice giving her a team-high 15 on the year.
