Kelsi Worrell: Card Chronicle's 2015 Person of the Year

Thanks to a dramatic surge in the final hours of voting, U of L swimming sensation Kelsi Worrell is Card Chronicle's 2015 Person of the Year. Worrell edged out Cardinal volleyball star Katie George to become the first female winner in the long and prestigious history of the award.

With a record number of votes cast, here's how it ended up shaking out:

Kelsi Worrell - 2,676 (37%)
Katie George - 2,233 (31%)
Rick Pitino - 1,242 (17%)
Dan McDonnell - 512 (7%)
The Fans - 401 (6%)
Frankie Hughes - 203 (3%)

There aren't many athletic programs in the country who can claim a world record owner, but UofL swimming and diving is one of them.
