Jeff Walz’s Team USA hammered Canada 84-60 Tuesday night to capture the gold medal at the FIBA U-18 Americas tournament.
The victory capped a dominant run by the Americans, who never won a game by fewer than 11 points in the tournament. In the medal rounds, USA defeated Chile 98-52 and Columbia 83-47 before taking care of the Canadians in the title game.
Congrats to coach Walz and the other members of the U of L staff who helped out these past few weeks in Colorado and Mexico City. Now let’s get back to The Ville and gear up for another run at a national title.
