Junior college star Jay Scrubb will keep his name in the 2020 NBA draft and not play for Louisville, his father told Evan Daniels of 247 Sports.
“He wants to be a pro ball player,” Jason Scrubb said simply.
Scrubb, a product of Trinirt High School, becomes the first player since Donta Smith in 2004 to jump straight from junior college to the professional ranks. Smith, ironically enough, was also committed to Louisville.
There’s no way to get around the fact that this is a major blow to U of L for next season.
