Lorenzo Mauldin is a relentless edge rusher. He is incredibly aggressive with his hands, mitigating his lack of elite speed. He diagnoses and defends the run well. He’s excellent in pursuit and displays developed play recognition (an underrated part of his game). Mauldin is very active at the line of scrimmage and is adept at batting down passes.
Mauldin has a real chance to start at OLB for the Jets.
