When I woke up on Tuesday morning I refused to become captive of the negative news swirling around Katina Powell’s media blitz. It’s obvious that we have had a few bad apples in the basketball program over the last four years and it appears that we had a rogue coach who let his dysfunction affect his job performance. But we’ve also watched a resilient Rick Pitino develop underrated kids and take the Louisville Basketball program back to the top. All I’ve heard for weeks is how this recent set back would kill Louisville’s recruiting efforts and that there was no way a parent or a promising player would be able to overlook the scandal.
