Former Ambassador to the UK and Sweden Matthew Barzun spoke to students about the advancement of humanities at the 13th Annual Phi Beta Kappa lecture on Feb. 6.
The lecture was titled “Our Separate Worlds: Where do we go from here?” and argued that divisions in society can be mended by more education in the fields of humanities.
Barzun presented the idea that in a divided America people should look towards the inclusive message that humanities present.
