Former Louisville basketball player Chane Behanan was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and marijuana possession on Saturday.
A car Behanan was traveling in was pulled over on 7th Street after a traffic violation. An officer observed marijuana residue on Behanan’s lap, and a stolen Sporter 7.62 ak-47 style rifle was found in the backseat.
Behanan helped Louisville make the Final Four in 2012 and win a national title in 2013. He was the West Region MVP during the 2012 run and scored 15 points to go with 12 rebounds in U of L’s 82-76 championship game win over Michigan.
