After a previously scheduled meeting of the board of trustees executive council, board chair Larry Benz said the latest scandal at U of L isn’t really a scandal.
“‘Scandal’ is a Thursday night TV show,” Benz said.
Benz also said the investigation may be done in a “matter of months.” University police started looking into the allegations in 2014.
Executive vice president for health affairs Dr. David Dunn and VP of IT Priscilla Hancock were placed on paid leave yesterday due to federal investigations into potential misuse of funds.
In today’s meeting, the executive council moved to let President James Ramsey fill in for Dunn in any litigation meetings regarding the ongoing legal battle against Norton Health.
