Shortly after a board of trustees meeting was announced, one trustee declined to join.

Doug Cobb, appointed by Governor Matt Bevin June 29, declined the appointment Tuesday. Brian Cromer, an attorney in Louisville, will replace Cobb.

Cobb was the center of attention after controversial posts from his Twitter were discovered. Via Twitter, Cobb made inflammatory remarks against the LGBT community, called climate change a “hoax” and said President James Ramsey, basketball coach Rick Pitino and athletic director Tom Jurich should resign after news of the basketball sex scandal.
