Louisville will not allow its football players to sign autographs at Fan Day on August 18. The university cited a "national problem" of autographed items being sold as the reason.
After Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel came under scrutiny last week after an autograph broker claimed he paid Manziel to sign several memorabilia items, it was found that several Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater signed items were going on eBay. Bridgewater said that he has not been offered money for his autographs.
Update 6:00 PM EDT: Other universities are jumping on this bandwagon as well. Miami announced this afternoon that it will be limiting autographs at its fan event.
