HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Erik McCree scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Alex Hamilton added 15 points, and Louisiana Tech ended a two-game losing streak with a 70-59 win over Southern Mississippi on Saturday night.
McCree bounced back after scoring a season-low five points on 2-of-7 shooting in a 63-61 loss to Florida Atlantic a week ago.
Louisiana Tech (14-5, 3-3 Conference USA) led by 13 and halftime, but Southern Miss cut the deficit to three with 10:21 to play. After a 3-pointer and free throw got the Bulldogs' lead to seven, Michael Ramey's jumper got the Golden Eagles within five at 54-49.
