The Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters softball team may be playing on brand new artificial turf this season, but the field is far from the only thing that has improved.
Coming off their first season of 30 or more wins since 2009, the Lady Techsters are ranked fifth in the Conference USA preseason poll, a mark that would be the highest the team has reached since entering the conference.
Head coach Mark Montgomery said a big strength of this year’s team is its improved talent off the bench.
