The Louisiana Tech men’s basketball team enters yet another season without the Conference USA’s best player on the team.

Alex Hamilton, shooting guard and the C-USA’s reigning Player of the Year, graduated and was recently drafted third overall by the Santa Cruz Warriors in NBA Development League Draft.

Last season, Hamilton averaged 19.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game.

Tech’s need to replace an exceptional guard comes just one year after they wondered how they would replace Kenneth “Speedy” Smith, point guard and the 2014-2015 C-USA Player of the Year.
