After 50 minutes on the hardwood, the line between a basketball game and a battlefield blurs.
Senior guard Jamari Blackmon and sophomore forward Thomas Howell held the frontline in a double-overtime bout against the Marshall Thundering Herd (18-5; 7-3) as both posted career highs in scoring to help the Warhawks (10- 13,6-4) creep back late to upset their Sun Belt opponent 86-82.
Blackmon barraged the Herd from behind the 3-point line with an 8-for-15 performance from long range as he made his way to a 35-point night. Howell’s 21-point,
15-rebound double-double set career-highs for both stats as he and Blackmon played the full 50 minutes.
