Coming from a hard-fought match against James Madison, the Warhawks wanted a second-straight home win on Oct. 12.
Fans packed the house for the Homecoming game, with ULM reporting 22,645 attendees. The crowd made history as the largest Warhawk football crowd in five seasons. Despite the large crowd, the players did not let the crowd interfere with their gameplay.
Kicking off the game, the Golden Eagles drew first blood with a field goal with three minutes left in the first quarter. The Warhawks responded with a touchdown. Following the touchdown, the defense forced a fumble recovered by ULM.
