CHOUDRANT, La. – The ULM men's golf team shaved 12 strokes off its first-round score and moved up five spots on the leaderboard to eighth place after the second round of the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate at Squire Creek Country Club Monday.
The Warhawks shot a 6-under-par 282 to reach even-par 576 (294-282) for the tournament. UTSA leads the tournament at 14-under-par 562 (290-272) after shooting 16-under-par 272 as a team in the second round.
Three Warhawks are tied for the team lead and 18th overall at 1-under-par 143. Sophomore Cody Winkler and junior Otto Van Buynder made the biggest moves on Monday, with each shooting 3-under-par 69.
