BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – In its final tune-up before the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships, the ULM track & field program had a pair of finalists in men’s sprints at the Samford Open on Friday and Saturday at the Birmingham Crossplex.
Freshman Levaughn Battick registered an 8.28 in the preliminaries of the 60m hurdles for a top-five time and advanced to the finals. Later in the day, he sprinted for a personal-record of 8.25 in the finals to finish sixth overall.
Another big performance came in the 400m where senior Andrew Tate registered a season-best time of 47.
