CONWAY, Ark. – The ULM volleyball team claimed the opening set, but Central Arkansas stormed back to win the next three sets and claim the 3-1 win Sunday afternoon at the Prince Center.
The Warhawks (1-12 overall) came out swinging, hitting .263 in the opening set, but failed to hit better than .163 in any of the remaining sets.
ULM used a 7-0 run early in the first set to take a 9-3 lead on a block by freshman Emma McWhorter and senior Ina Gosen. The Warhawks expanded the lead to as much as seven, first at 11-4 off a kill by Gosen, and again at 12-5 off a kill by junior Cali Assaley.
