Before Saturday’s matchup, the ULM football team had a tough road trip, losing both games. The Warhawks (5-4, 3-3) geared up for the afternoon matchup against Texas State (5-4, 3-2) looking to break their win drought. Texas State defeated the Warhawks 38-17, shutting them out for the entire first half.
The Bobcats opened the game with a rushing touchdown against ULM. After this, the Warhawks’ offense could not collect their bearings before halftime, resulting in three punts, a turnover on downs, and a fumble by freshman running back Ahmad Hardy.
Following the break, quarterback Aiden Armenta and Hardy took over on their first possession, leading ULM into the endzone for its first touchdown.
