MONROE, La. – The ULM baseball team (2-1) tied the game in the seventh inning but ultimately fell in the series finale to Eastern Illinois (1-2) by a score of 6-2 on Sunday (Feb. 16) at Lou St. Amant Field.
RBI base hits by and evened the score at 2-2 in the bottom of the seventh, but the Panthers rallied in the eighth inning and scored four runs with two outs. ULM left 14 runners on base and hit 3-for-13 with runners in scoring position.
Eastern Illinois struck first with a pair of singles in the first inning which included an RBI hit by Pierce Bauerle with two outs that scored Eli Hill.
