MONROE, La. – This morning had a hint of pads popping through the heat as ULM marked off day three of fall practice on Saturday, its first in shells after two opening days of shorts and jerseys.
The Warhawks put the shoulder pads on for the first time in practice exactly one month out from the season opener – September 3 against Southern, a couple hundred yards away from the practice fields and out on the turf of JPS Field at Malone Stadium.
The overall theme of improvement and ‘winning the day’ also continued as the amount of information and plays being installed started to get vamped up.
