MONROE, La. – ULM's Jahaanvie Walia finished with scores of 70 and 76 and placed herself in third after Monday's opening rounds at the Fred Marx Invitational, held at the Bayou DeSiard Country Club. Walia, who carded a 2-over-par score 146, played a key role in placing the Warhawks in fifth on the team leaderboard with a score of 35-over-par 610.

Walia wrapped up the first round with a 2-under-par 70 after notching 12 pars and four birdies along the way. Three of those birdies came on the back nine, including the 10th, 12th and 14th holes.
