NATCHITOCHES, La. – The ULM tennis team has started their fall season, competing in the Lady Demon Invitational, hosted by Northwestern State, on Saturday and Sunday.
In the Purple Singles Draw, Lucia Jorrin Fernandez fell to Angelique Berrat of the Ragin' Cajuns and Tyler Junior College's Candy Wai. Mariam Hatem fell to Salome Fluri of McNeese and Northwestern State's Tjasa Klevisar. Hatem and Fernandez competed against each other for seventh place, Hatem taking the match (6-2, 6-4).
In the Yellow Singles Draw, Vanja Cado took a loss against Zoi Spyrou of Northwestern State and the Ragin' Cajuns' Ana Martinez Vaquero before capturing her first collegiate win versus Amelia Devlin (TJC) for the seventh place spot (6-3, 6-1).
