MONROE, La. – The founding father of ULM's exclusive 10,000-yard club stuck around to meet its newest member on Saturday.
ULM quarterback Caleb Evans (10,143; 2016-19) joined Kolton Browning (11,808 2010-13) and Steven Jyles (10,234) when he surpassed 10,000 career yards in total offense. Evans passed for 215 yards and two scores and rushed for a career-high 148 yards and three touchdowns in ULM's 48-41 loss to Arkansas State.
Jyles, a ULM L Club Hall of Fame member, was in town for Homecoming and met Evans for the first time afterward as they were introduced postgame.
