NATCHITOCHES, La. – ULM rallied from both singles and doubles deficits to defeat Northwestern State 4-2 and remain perfect on the year.
The Warhawks are 4-0 for the fourth time in the last five years. Each of the first three matches were decided by 4-3 margins.
Luana Stanciu, who was named co-Sun Belt Student-Athlete of the Week just after the match ended, improved to 3-1 on the year when paired with Tiffany Mylonas. The duo won 6-0 to get even on doubles before Martina Husarova and Ioana Popescu won 6-4 for the point. It was ULM’s first time winning that round on the season.
