MONROE, La. – Under sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-80s, ULM associate head coach Rich Rodriguez sent the team through nearly a 100-play "situational" scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 14 as the Warhawks completed their seventh preseason practice.
"I really liked what I saw from the defense," Rodriguez said. "We had a lot of guys flying around the football and making plays. They even caused a few turnovers. Of course, on the flip side, we put the ball on the ground too many times on offense.
"The effort was pretty good on both sides of the football, and it got hot (heat index of 99) toward the end of the scrimmage.
