TROY, Ala. – Sydney McKay was responsible for a two hits, including a sixth-inning double that resulted in two runs, as she helped lead the ULM softball team to a 4-1 victory over Sun Belt Conference rival Troy in Friday's (March 8) second game of a doubleheader.
The ULM win, which avenged an 8-0 setback in the first game of the league opener, evened the Warhawks' record in the Sun Belt at 1-1.
ULM put the first run of the game across the plate in the second inning when Jayden Mount crushed a 1-1 pitch over the left-center field wall for her first homerun of the season.
