SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The ULM volleyball team (3-7) dropped both of its matches on the opening day of the Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Invitational Friday at the Hammons Student Center. Tulane got the first win over the Warhawks, 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-17). Missouri State bested the Warhawks, 3-0 (25-20, 25-7, 25-16), Friday night.
"Tulane played extremely clean, which beat us at the end, as we compiled too many errors," ULM head coach Charlie Olson said.
Tulane (6-2) took control with the first six points of the opening set. ULM (3-7) battled back to get within two at 13-11 on a block by sophomore Emma McWhorter and junior Kathryn Raschilla.
