MONROE, La. – Tyree White scored a career-high 19 points and ULM snapped a five-game losing streak with a gritty 79-63 win over Troy at Fant-Ewing Coliseum Thursday night.
"The game plan was to work the middle," said White, who was 5-of-11 from the floor and made 9-of-12 free throws. "My name was called and it was just my game."
Said ULM coach Keith Richard: "That spot on the floor, the four spot, was the most critical spot the way they were playing defense. I thought he really came through."
The Warhawks (5-7, 1-2) overcame a flurry of self-inflicted wounds in the first half and surged down the stretch to claim their first Sun Belt Conference win of the year.
