MONROE, La. – ULM's defense never faded Saturday night despite spending a whopping 80 snaps on the field.
The Warhawks held Southern Miss to just three points in the second half and protected a narrow lead for most of the final two quarters in a thrilling 21-20 win at M.M. Roberts Stadium in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
"I'm extremely proud of the effort that all of the guys gave all throughout the ballgame," ULM defensive coordinator Mike Collins said. "All the guys who played, you could feel it and sense it.
