MONROE, La. – The ULM sophomore Sydney McKay was named a second team All-Conference performer, while the Warhawks also received several individual awards for their work in the classroom, at the Sun Belt Conference banquet on Tuesday evening before tournament play opens on Wednesday.
A sophomore outfielder, McKay was earned second team All-Conference honors after a season that saw her lead the Warhawks with a .382 batting average with 17 RBI and 35 stolen bases from the top of the ULM lineup. She tallied eight extra-base hits and drew 12 walks while only striking out five times in her 186 regular season at-bats.
