Conway, S.C. – A six-run second inning was more than enough run support for Trey Jeans and the ULM Warhawks on Wednesday night, rolling to an 8-0 win over top-seed and regular season Sun Belt Conference champion Texas State in the second round of the Sun Belt Championship at Springs Brooks Stadium.
The Warhawks advance to play UT Arlington in a winner's bracket game at 6:30 p.m. (CDT) Thursday at Springs Brooks Stadium. The Mavericks rallied to win on a walk-off single over Coastal Carolina 9-8 in 10 innings on Wednesday.
Jeans (5-8) was masterful over 7 2/3 shutout innings, giving up just three hits and three walks while recording four strikeouts.
