The bats went ice-cold in San Marcos, Texas this past weekend, resulting in another series loss for the Warhawks.
ULM (21-28; 4-14) traveled to Texas State (29-19-1; 9-7-1) for a vital conference series. ULM went into the game on a four-game losing streak in a season that has been derailed in conference play. With only three series left, including the series against the Bobcats, it was time to turn things around.
In Friday night’s game, the two teams were at a stalemate through two innings. The Bobcats struck first with a solo homer to left field. Texas State added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth with a sacrifice fly and an RBI single to make it 3-0.
