ATLANTA, Ga. – Freshman Maelwenn Gaiffas netted her second goal of the season at the 64-minute mark to tie up ULM and Georgia State on Friday, Oct. 5, but a goal in the 78th minute by the Panthers would give them the lead and the eventual 2-1 win over the Warhawks.
Gaiffas' goal was only one of ULM's seven total shots on the night. Gaiffas and sophomore Taylor Altieri were the only Warhawks with shots on goal in the loss.
Georgia State saw its first goal of the night 22 minutes into play, an shot by Monique Hundley would rebound into play, giving Panther Caitlin Ray a chance at the ball, which she capitalized on and scored to give Georgia State the 1-0 lead.
