Hardy Named First FWAA Freshman All-American in School History

DALLAS -- True freshman running back Ahmad Hardy was selected to the 2024 Football Writers Association of America Freshman All-America Team, the association announced on Tuesday (Jan. 14). Hardy became the first ULM football player to be named to the FWAA Freshman All-American Team and the program's first FWAA All-American since Marcus Green was voted a FWAA Second Team All-American in 2017.

Following a breakout freshman campaign, Hardy received Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year honors and became the first Warhawk to earn conference freshman of the year since 2003. In addition to being named All-Sun Belt First Team Offense, Hardy also picked up Louisiana Freshman of the Year and All-Louisiana First Team Offense recognition and is one of the most decorated true freshman running backs in program history.
