MONROE, La. – Ask ULM baseball fans to name the program's career strikeout leader and you'll probably hear plenty of wrong answers.
Nope, it's not pitchers Tom Brown, Chuck Finley or Ben Sheets, whose jersey numbers are displayed on signs at Warhawk Field. In fact, it's sturdy left-handed pitcher Kenny Holubec, who fanned 321 batters during his outstanding career from 1997-2000.
"I broke it, so I see it as an attainable record to break," said Holubec, who will be part of the ULM L Club's 2018 Hall of Fame class. "But so far, nobody has yet.
