LAFAYETTE, La. – Freshman Elias Keter won the 5000m and the men’s 4x400m relay team earned gold for the ULM track & field program at the UL-Lafayette Classic on Saturday at the Cajuns Track & Soccer Facility.
The Warhawks have now won 11 gold medals through three outdoor meets.
Keter, from Eldoret, Kenya, legged out a personal-record of 15:20.09 for his first career title. Keter was ULM’s strongest runner in two of four cross country meets in the fall, and was part of a distance medley relay team that finish seventh to score for ULM at the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships.
