SAN ANTONIO, Texas – ULM's Guillaume Fanonnel claimed runner-up honors Tuesday, the best individual finish of his career, with a score of 8-under-par for the tournament at the Lone Star Invitational, hosted by UTSA.
Fanonnel, who finished one shot off the pace established by Lipscomb's Nolan Ray, capped off the final round with a 71. Fanonnel scored a 208 (69-68-71), after carding three birdies and 12 pars in the final day of play. He recorded his birdies on the seventh, 14th and 17th greens. Ray edged Fanonnel for the individual crown, despite finishing Tuesday with a 1-over-par round of 73.
