STANFORD, Calif. – ULM junior Guillaume Fanonnel fired a 2-under-par 68 in the opening round of the NCAA Stanford Regional on Monday, May 13 and sits in a six-way tie for ninth place on the individual leaderboard. Fanonnel, who ranks second among the 10 individual qualifiers at the regional, trails Southern Utah's Jake Vincent, who sits atop the overall leaderboard with a 6-under-par 64, by four shots.
Fanonnel got off to a fast start, recording birdies on three of the first four holes (first, second and fourth), and finished the front nine at 3-under 32.
