Eaton Fifth, ULM Eighth After Opening Round at Sun Belt Women’s Golf Championships

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – ULM senior Scarlett Eaton is locked in a three-way tie for fifth place after firing a 1-under-par 71 in the opening round of the 2019 Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championships on Monday, April 15. Eaton became one of seven golfers to post an under-par score on the LPGA International Hills Course.

A native of Mineral Wells, Texas, Eaton tallied 13 pars and three birdies in the first round and sits one shot off the pace established by Texas State teammates Anne-Charlotte Mora and Sasikarn Somboonsup, Troy's Lindsey Harrison and Georgia Southern's Julianna Collett, who share the lead at 2-under-par 70.
