Blignaut Wins Again for the Warhawks in Day 1 of Robert Platt Invitational

HOUSTON, Tx. – Another first-place finish for Juwan Blignaut highlighted the first day of action for the ULM track and field team in the Robert Platt Invitational on Friday.

Blignaut won the men's 1000m with a time of 2:23.83, his second win in just two meets in 2025. In the men's 60m hurdle prelims, Devin Bilbo advanced to the finals with an 8.04 time, and J'Marcus Sewell will compete in the 60m tomorrow. Chase Gunn secured a fourth-place finish in the men's 5000m with a 14:55.22 mark.

Savanna Lawson competed in the women's pentathlon, placing sixth in the 60m hurdles, seventh in the high jump, sixth in the shot put, and seventh in the 800m.
