WEST POINT, Miss. -- Jeff Berry's best two rounds of the season keyed the ULM men's golf team to a seventh-place standing after two rounds at the Old Waverly Intercollegiate.
Berry, a freshman from Keithville, La., had played just two tournaments on the year (five rounds total) before posting a 72 in the first stage and 1-under 71 in the following round. He had seven birdies on the day.
ULM is tied with UL Lafayette and host Mississippi State with an 18-over 594. The Warhawks improved by two strokes in the second round (298 to 296).
