MONROE, La. – ULM and Georgia Southern were tied at 1-1 going to the seventh, but the Eagles scored three runs between the seventh and eighth innings to claim a 4-1 win on Sunday at Warhawk Field.
Georgia Southern (27-18, 12-12 Sun Belt) plated the first run of the game as Jordan Wren drove in Logan Baldwin with a RBI single to right field.
ULM (16-28, 7-14) tied the game an inning later as Danny Springer sent the first pitch he saw from Eagle pitcher over the wall in left.
The two teams traded zeros over the next four innings before the Eagles plated two runs in the top of the seventh to take a 3-1 lead.
